To celebrate the recent engagement of my two good friends Lindsay and Les I offered them a portrait session with their beautiful little girl Lilly. Lindsay is also a photographer and it is a rarely opportunity for her to be in front of the camera with her loved ones. I wanted to mark the occasion and ensure they would have photographs to look back on in years to come.

Shortly after photographing Richard and Lisa’s family his brother got in contact for a portrait shoot with gorgeous Freddie. We managed to get the shoot done just in time for Christmas and everyone seemed relieved that Freddie was more than happy to cooperate. I loved this family shoot with the Curtis family. Dylan, 8 months is amazing, he just smiled and giggled the whole way through the shoot. Olivia, 2 years old is gorgeous but camera shy so we let her run the show and got these lovely photographs perfect for Christmas present. Check out my favourites below.

This little chap is  Charlie Wheeler. Over the last 18 months I have done a few portrait sessions with Charlie and every time  I get to see yet another side of his personality. We decided to  shoot in a park in Bristol so Charlie could play in the sun shine and I could capture his personality without the confinements of a studio. He has turned into a great little character and he loves ice cream nearly as much as I do!

The Hutt family are quite a brood, 5 men and 1 little lady. The arrival of Oscar encouraged them to have a family shoot and it was lovely to see how in love the three older boys are with the latest addition.  In the comfort of their own home I captured this gorgeous family. Last weekend I photographed Jess, Billy and Archie (6 weeks old). Although Archie arrived one month early and surprised Jess and Billy , he is doing well and it is obvious that they have taken to parenthood like ducks to water with their gorgeous baby boy.

Emily Hutt is one yummy mummy to be, a blooming 8 months pregnant and she is glowing. Always happy to try out new ideas, Emily is great to photograph – confident, patient and trusting of my direction, it is a pleasure every time to be asked to capture precious moments. It only feels like yesterday I photographed Emily and Jamie’s wedding and now they are getting prepared for another addition to the Hutt family.

Well done Max on being a super little boy during the shoot and I look forward to photographing you all once little Huttlett arrives.

Cake Smash | Imelda-Mai

A cake smash is a great way of entertaining babies and toddlers so they don’t even notice they are having their photograph taken. I love that Imelda-Mai jumped straight in and got messy to celebrate her 1st birthday. The images were used to make a guest book for friends and family to sign at her party.

Capturing those final magical weeks of pregnancy with a bump portrait shoot can be scary for both mum and dad however like many others, Jess and Billy soon got into the swing of the shoot and saw this opportunity as a wonderful way to celebrate and remember this special time. Jess looks amazing being pregnant with her tiny bump and Billy’s unique tattoos were a great way to encourage him to get in front of the camera. I really wanted to create something which they would both love and show the precious moments of first time parents.
