HOW I WORK

For me, it is essential that your photographs have integrity so I will not put you into any unnatural poses or try to create moments that are not there. A wedding is not about posing for group shots for hours on end. Or photographers overtaking the day. It’s about capturing the important shots efficiently and then following the light, the moments and the real story with just a pinch of traditional portraits for good measure. I like to ensure the atmosphere remains true to the day and love the variety of light the UK weather can determine. Rest assured come rain or sunshine as your photographer, I will provide beautiful photography no matter the weather. A story which has timeless appeal yet relaxed and unobtrusive. I believe it is my job to capture and express your love in photographs which are completely unique to you. Spontaneity is what I believe makes a great photograph; with the right photographer at hand, you won’t even know the beautiful moments I am capturing.

Your wedding photography is limited edition. It is an onetime event, with everyone you love all in one place celebrating and making memories. It marks the beginning of the next chapter that will be treasured by not only your family but the next generation. Most weddings are conducted in a similar way but what makes your wedding unique is the behind the scenes photographs whilst you are living in the moment, the reactions you may miss, the emotions building up throughout the day – it is you, your family, your friends that make the story happen. And every couple deserves to have their story told beautifully because it’s authentically yours. I know everyone has probably already told you this but the wedding day goes by so quickly. Your wedding photography is your return ticket to relive the best moments and feel the emotion of those you may have missed. My promise to all of my couples is that your experience starts from the moment we first speak. I want this process to be easy, relaxed and fun, together we will create memories to last a lifetime. Although we may meet as strangers I hope we will leave as friends. Before the wedding day I will help support and advise you on all the do’s and don’ts. This starts with receiving my bespoke Wedding Photography Guide brochure upon booking my services which is packed with useful information, recommendations and advice to ensure you are prepared for the wedding day. Planning a wedding is not an everyday event so let me help.

These are the key things you should know about all my collections below:

–6 weeks prior to the wedding I will send over a questionnaire to be completed so your wedding photography is tailored to just how you want it.

–10 days prior to the wedding we can have a chat on the telephone to check over the informal plan.

–24 hours after your wedding you will receive a sneak peek of 10 images to share on social media or with family and friends.

–21 days after your wedding you will receive all your edited wedding photographs in a gallery ready to share, download and print via an online shop if you wish.

FAQ

Most frequently asked questions

Do you travel?

Yes, I am more than happy to travel far and wide for wonderful couples. If the journey is over 2 hours I may require accommodation for the evening before. Please get in touch to discuss.

How do we book?

To secure your date I require a deposit and contract to be signed. No dates will be held without this retainer. This can all be done via my online booking system. I am always happy to arrange a call via telephone or zoom even if you are not ready to book.

Are you insured?

Yes. I have professional indemnity insurance along with public liability insurance.

When will we receive our photographs?

After the day itself I will be busy editing and process your digital files. To ensure every image I provide to you is perfect, my post-production process generally is 21 days.

How do you back up our photographs?

A wedding day is captured on two camera both with dual card slots. After your day I keep one card until your gallery is delivered and back up photographs up on two other hard drives, one in my office and another off site. I have a back up plan for all scenarios to ensure your photographs are safe.

What happens if you are ill on our wedding day?

Over the past twelve years I have built a network of other talented photographers should the situation ever occur and would ensure your wedding is captured beautifully. I would then edit the gallery in my signature style. However, to date I have never needed to find cover due to illness.

What equipment do you use?

I photograph all weddings using the best professional equipment. I currently shoot on two Canon R6s, rf 24-70mm f2 and also have 35mm, 50mm, 85mm,105mm, 70-200mm lens.

I also have additional lighting equipment should we need it and back up equipment in case of an emergency.
