Janiene and Jon’s wedding at Quantock Lakes last June was everything and more than I expected it would be. I knew upon meeting them that the vibe for the day was going to be fun and relaxed combined with beautiful details. They were blessed with the perfect weather, wonderful food, lovely family and friends all focused on celebrating a fun-loving couple.
Quantock Lakes is renowned for its golden hours. The sun goes down behind the rolling Quantock hills opposite the reception barn and you never get the same light twice at this stunning venue. For summer weddings I always like to capture the light on offer by starting at the swing and working our way down to the pontoon over the lake. This wedding is a beautiful example of all Quantock Lakes has to offer.
I first met these two in person at their engagement shoot at Kilve beach a few months previous. It was lovely to hear all about their plans at Quantock Lakes and to really understand what was important for them from the photography. I wanted nothing more than for them to have the best day and they certainly achieved everything they hoped for. It was my pleasure to capture the story of the day.
“Oh Kelly, we are speechless! I have no words to describe how beautiful your photos are and how you’ve captured everything so perfectly! So emotional right now. We love them more than anything, they are so incredible. All our favourite moments are captured absolutely perfectly, it was amazing to look back and re-live the day through your photos! No honestly, you are such a wonderful, lovely lady and having you as part of our day was like having one of our good friends there helping us out and keeping us calm and making sure we enjoyed our day. We can’t thank you enough. A million and one thank yous!
